NOTICE BY HIGHWAY AUTHROITY OF INTENTION TO APPLY TO THE MAGISTRATES’ COURT FOR AN ORDER UNDER SECTION 116 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 FOR STOPPING-UP OF FOOTPATH AT THE ARK PUBLIC HOUSE, TOWNHILL SOUTHAMPTON,SO18 2FN

NOTICE is given that an application will be made to the West Hampshire Magistrates Court sitting at 100 the Avenue, Southampton, Hampshire, SO17 1EY on 26th July 2018 at 14:00 for an order stopping up a public footpath around part of the former Ark Public House in Townhill Southampton, SO18 2FN the position of which is indicated on the plan which may be inspected at the offices of the Service Director, Legal and Governance, Southampton and Fareham Legal Services Partnership, Civic Centre Southampton SO14 7LY from 9.00am to 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays and is shown by the part hatched black and shall be stopped-up as more particularly specified in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

The length of the footpath is from point A to Point B is 26.8 metres with a minimum width of 7.6 metres and a maximum width of 10.6 metres. The length of the footpath from point C to D is 21.7 metres with a minimum width of 3.5 metres and a maximum width of 5.5 metres. The Ordnance Survey references are A=445235E 11462N to B=44214E 114607N, C= 445230E 114623N to D = 445243E 114606N.

The reason for making the order is that the footpath is no longer necessary due to redevelopment of adjoining land.
