THE LEWISHAM (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 10) ORDER 2018

THE LEWISHAM (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 10) ORDER 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Borough Council on 30th April 2018 made the above-mentioned Orders under the powers of sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984a, as amended. The Orders will come into force on 8th May 2018.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be, in:-

(a) CLYDE VALE:

(i) to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: (A) 10 metres in length on both sides at its junction with Dartmouth Road; and (B) 15 metres in length on the north side across the vehicular entrance to Nos. 25-29 Clyde Vale and the vehicular entrance to Azure Apartments, Clyde Terrace; and

(ii) to introduce ‘Monday to Saturday,’ 8 am to 6.30 pm’ waiting restrictions, 8 metres in length on the north side outside Nos. 25-29 Clyde Vale;

(b) DARTMOUTH ROAD:

(i) to provide new shared free short-stay parking places/loading bays which will operate so as to permit loading and unloading only for a maximum stay of 30 minutes between the hours of 7 am and 10 am and 2 pm and 4 pm on Monday to Saturday, and so as to permit parking for a maximum stay of 30 minutes, no return within 2 hours between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm and 4 pm and 7 pm on Monday to Saturday, in new lay-bys constructed: (A) on the north-west side outside Nos. 16 to 22 Dartmouth Road, 16.5 metres in length; (B) on the south-east side outside Nos. 13-17 Dartmouth Road, 10 metres in length; and (C) on the north-west side outside No. 30 Dartmouth Road, 11 metres in length;

(ii) to provide a new disabled persons parking place on the south-east side outside Nos. 61 to 61A Dartmouth Road, 6.6 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a valid disabled persons badge may be left without time limit at any time;

(iii) to provide an updated layout of free short-stay parking places in which parking will be permitted for a maximum stay of 30 minutes, no return within 2 hours between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm on Monday to Saturday, in new lay-bys constructed on the south-east side: (A) outside Nos. 55a to 61 Dartmouth Road, 20.5 metres in length; (B) outside No. 63a Dartmouth Road, 5.5 metres in length; (C) outside Nos. 67 to 75 Dartmouth Road, 23.5 metres in length; (D) outside Nos. 77 to 83 Dartmouth Road, 16 metres in length; (E) outside Nos. 97 to 103 Dartmouth Road, 16 metres in length; and (F) outside Nos. 1-8 Forest Lodge, Dartmouth Road, 5.5 metres in length;

(iv) to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting and loading restrictions on all kerbside not designated as either a parking place or a shared parking place/loading bay between the boundary of TLRN red route controls, 2 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 2A and 4 Dartmouth Road and a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Thorpewood Avenue;

(c) THORPEWOOD AVENUE:

(i) to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: (A) 18.5 metres in length on the north-east side at its junction with Dartmouth Road, and (B) 20.5 metres of in length on the south-west side at its junction with Dartmouth Road, and

(ii) to introduce ‘at any time’ loading restrictions: (A) 10.5 metres in length on the north-east side at its junction with Dartmouth Road, and (B) 8 metres in length on the south-west side at its junction with Dartmouth Road.

3. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Transport Policy & Development, 4th Floor Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
