The Department for Communities has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Pension Protection Fund and Occupational Pension Schemes (Levy Ceiling and Compensation Cap) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018” (S.R. 2018 No. 38), which comes into operation on 31 March 2018.

The Rule sets the amount of the Pension Protection Fund levy ceiling as £1,024,372,330, and the standard amount of the compensation cap as £39,006.18, for the financial year beginning on 1 April 2018.
