THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2018

THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 295) ORDER 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 23rd January 2018 made the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The Orders will continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the following experimental Orders:

• The City of Westminster (Prescribed Routes) (No. 2) Experimental Traffic Order 2016; and

• The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. 3) Experimental Order 2016.

3. The effect of the Orders is to:

(a) introduce one-way working in the following lengths of Saltram Crescent:

(i) between its junctions with Bradiston Road and Fernhead Road (north-westbound); and

(ii) between its junctions with Fordingley Road and Shirland Road (southbound); and

(b) extend the “at any time” waiting restrictions on the south side of Saltram Crescent, at its junction with Fernhead Road, eastward by 6 metres.

4. The Orders, which will come into force on 30th January 2018, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until 6th March 2018 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at WSP, Palace Gardens Suite, 27th Floor, Portland House, Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5RS.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
