The Department for the Economy has made a Starutiry Rule entitled "The Offshore Electricity Development (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Revocation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018" (S.R. 2018 No.5), which comes into operation on 2nd February 2018.

This Rule revokes the Offshore Electricity Development (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008 which are no longer necessary due to duplication with the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2007 (as amended).
