The Welsh Ministers propose to make an Order under section 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 50 mph speed limit on the length of the A458 trunk road that extends from a point 40 metres east of the eastern side of Buttington Cross Roundabout to a point 30 metres west of the centre-point of its junction with county road U2248 Sale Lane, Cefn, Powys.

During a period of 21 days from 7 July 2017 a copy of the proposed Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours at Welshpool Library, Brook Street, Welshpool SY21 7PH or may be obtained free of charge from the address below quoting reference number qA1297768.

Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to Orders Branch, Transport, Welsh Government, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ by 28 July 2017. Should you wish to object, support or make representations, we may need to consult with people and organisations outside of the Welsh Government. As part of the process of consulting with others we may pass information to them, including information you have given us and your personal data. We will, however, only disclose your personal details where it is necessary to do so to enable us to deal with issues you have brought to our attention.
