PLAY STREET ORDER FOR PLAYSTREET SCHEME IN MARLBOROUGH CRESCENT
THE EALING (VARIOUS ROADS PLAYSTREET SCHEME) (NO. 4, 2016) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing (“the Council”) on the 25th May made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 29 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to create a play street in Marlborough Crescent, W4, between the south-western kerb-line of Vanbrugh Road and the northern kerb-line of Bedford Road which will operate when traffic signs are in position closing any length of this road between these points. The scheme called “Playstreet” will close these roads to vehicular traffic on one Saturday or Sunday each month (or such other occasions as the Council may approve) for a period of up to 3 hours to enable children to use them for play schemes. Vehicles will be able to access premises in the closed sections of street and will be escorted by a steward to reach their destination.
3. The Order, which will come into operation on 27th May 2017, other documents including plans giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available by either e-mailing Highwayservices@ealing.gov.uk or inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until the 6th July 2017.
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
