THE HACKNEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES AND 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.17) ORDER 2016

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney on 9th December 2016 did make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to

Static

a) Remove existing loading bays in the Narrow Way;

b) Introduce No Waiting at any time and no loading 10am to 6pm Monday to Sunday for the full length of Narrow Way;

c) Introduce no waiting and no loading at any time in Clarence Road at the southern end making minor changes to existing parking;

Moving

a) Prohibit the right turn movement from Dalston Lane into Narrow Way, Mare Street;

b) Introduce a Pedestrian and Cycle Zone for the whole length of Narrow Way, Mare Street with no motor vehicles except loading by goods vehicles 6pm-Midnight and Midnight-10am, Mon-Sun.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 19th December 2016, other relevant Orders, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the expiration of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, in the reception area, London Borough of Hackney, Hackney Service Centre, 1 Hillman Street, London, E8 1DY. 4. If any person wishes to question the validity of either of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
