APPLICATION FOR A PRIVATE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY LICENCE

Not applicable: Electricity Exchange Ltd. submits this license application to operate as a demand side unit (DSU) aggregator in Northern Ireland. As a DSU aggregator, we will contract individual demand sites (IDS) dispersed across Northern Ireland and aggregate their demand response energy capacity to provide back to the TSO under the DSU scheme. In so doing, Electricity Exchange Ltd. will not supply electricity to any of its customers.

7. A statement of the extent (if any) to which the applicant considers it necessary for powers under Schedule 3 (compulsory acquisition of land etc.) and under Schedule 4 (other powers etc) to the Order to be given through the licence for which he is applying, together with a statement of any specific purposes for which those powers are felt to be necessary.

Not applicable: Electricity Exchange Ltd. submits this license application to operate as a demand side unit (DSU) aggregator in Northern Ireland. In so doing, Electricity Exchange Ltd. does not consider it necessary for powers under schedule 3 or schedule 4.

Electricity Exchange Ltd, does not currently hold any licenses in respect to generation or participation in transmission. On October 21st 2016, Electricity Exchange applied for another Supply License which is currently under review. In parallel with this application, Electricity Exchange Ltd will apply for a generation license in Northern Ireland as required for DSU licensing in Northern Ireland.
