THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to install a Zebra Crossing in the borough as follows:
1. On Hale Lane NW7, outside and opposite No.11 to 19 Hale Lane NW7
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying criteria, the general effect of the above Orders would be to provide designated disable parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and a dedicated disabled permit which would be applicable to each bay, outside the following locations:
20 Totteridge Lane N20 (convert an existing 2pm to 3pm Monday to Friday resident permit holders only parking bay situated on the side of 31 Totteridge Lane N20), 30 Prospect Road NW2, 57 Erskine Hill NW11 (by converting an existing disabled bay), 4 Green Road N20, 15 Ludlow Way N2, 3 Thyra Grove N12, 31 Woodfield Avenue NW9, 3 East Road HA8, 15 Russell Road NW9 (convert an existing 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday resident permit holders only parking bay).
The Free Order would also remove redundant disabled parking bays outside 37a Algernon Road NW4 (convert to a Monday to Friday 10am-7pm and Saturday 8am-2pm resident permit holders only parking bay ), 15 Hayes Crescent NW11, 19 Halliwick Road N10, 26 Spencer Road N11 and 87 Stanhope Avenue N3.
In order to improve access to a disabled motorist vehicle the Free Order would extend the existing dedicated disabled permit holder only bay situated opposite Nos.25-27 Bridge Lane NW11 by 1.3 metres.
The Free Order would also remove lengths of existing waiting restrictions on street in order to allow for the introduction of a new Zebra Crossing at the following location below:

The Free Order would also upgrade the existing length of 8am – 6.30pm Monday – Saturday waiting restrictions outside Nos. 5 to 11 Hale Lane NW7 to ‘At any time’.
A copy of the proposed Orders, an associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at:
a) Design Team, Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London, N20 0EJ
b) Reception, Hendon Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BG

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR137, to the Design Team, 11th Floor, Highways, Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London N20 0EJ, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
