The Department of the Environment has made a Statutory Rule entitled the Change of District Name (North Down and Ards) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016 (S.R. 2016 No. 10), which comes into operation on 24 February 2016.

This Order will change the name of North Down and Ards local government district to Ards and North Down.
