LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (HIGH ROAD, CHADWELL HEATH, DAGENHAM) (ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2015
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under Sections 6, 32, 35, 45, 46 and 49 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (“the Act”) and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act propose to make the above Orders.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following measures on High Road:—
(a) Six disabled spaces. The disabled bays will operate between the hours of Monday – Saturday, 8am – 6.30pm and will allow free parking, for up to 4 hours and no return within 1 hour, for all vehicles correctly displaying a valid blue badge. All bays will require vehicles to park with 4 wheels on the footway.
i. One bay for a distance of 6.6 metres outside of property number 93 on the north side of the road.
ii. One bay for a distance of 12 metres outside of property numbers 96 and 98 on the south side of the road.
iii. One bay for a distance of 12.01 metres outside of property number 72 on the south side of the road.
iv. One bay for a distance of 6.6 metres outside of property number 22 on the south side of the road.
(b) Pay by phone parking. Chargeable hours will be Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm inclusive, with a maximum stay of 6 hours. All bays will require vehicles to park with 4 wheels on the footway.
i. From a point outside property number 21 to outside of property number 25 inclusive, on the north side of the road, for a distance of 13.51 metres.
ii. Outside property numbers 37 to 43 inclusive on the north side of the road, for a distance of 23.90 metres.
iii. From a point outside property number 79 to outside of property number 91 inclusive, on the north side of the road, for a distance of 39.39 metres.
iv. Outside Chadwell Heath Baptist Church and property numbers 78 to 94 inclusive on the south side of the road, for a distance of 89.12 metres.
v. From a point outside property number 30 to outside of property number 24 inclusive, on the south side of the road, for a distance of 23.41 metres.
(c) Loading bay. Loading/unloading may take place for a maximum of 30 minutes with a no return time of 1 hour. The bay will be operational Monday to Saturday, 8.00am – 6.30pm inclusive. Outside property number 6 Tudor Parade to outside property number 38 High Road inclusive, for a distance of 41.44 metres.
The “pay by phone” parking would apply from Monday to Saturday, 8.00am to 6.30pm inclusive, except bank and public holidays. There would be a maximum stay of 6 hours and the charges would be as follows:—

The pay by phone parking places proposals would replace the one-hour limited parking areas on the footway at various locations on High Road.
Copies of the draft Order together with a plan and statements of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order are available for inspection at the Planning Application desk, Town Hall, Barking and at the offices of the Chief Executive, Civic Centre, Dagenham between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
Any objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made and sent to the attention of Daniel Connelly at the address below, within 21 days of the publication date of this Notice.
