THE A19 TRUNK ROAD (PARKWAY INTERCHANGE TO WOLVISTON INTERCHANGE) (PROHIBITION ON CYCLISTS) ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Co Ltd proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A19 Trunk Road, the A66 Trunk Road and the A174 Trunk Road in the Districts of Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees.

The effect of this Order, if made, will be to prohibit, cyclists from entering or using the:

(i) A19 northbound carriageway from the exit slip road at the A174 Parkway Interchange to the entry slip road at the A689 Wolviston Interchange, a distance of 13,300 metres;

(ii) A19 southbound carriageway from the exit slip road at the A689 Wolviston Interchange to the entry slip road at the A174 Parkway Interchange, a distance of 13,300 metres;

(iii) A19 northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at the A174 Parkway Interchange;

(iv) link road connecting the A174 eastbound carriageway with the A19 northbound carriageway;

(v) A19 northbound and southbound entry and exit slip roads at the A1130 Mandale Interchange;

(vi) link roads connecting the A19 northbound carriageway to the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways at Stockton Road Interchange;

(vii) link roads connecting the A66 westbound carriageway with the A19 northbound and southbound carriageways at Stockton Road Interchange;

(viii) link road connecting the A19 southbound carriageway with the A66 eastbound carriageway at Stockton Road Interchange;

(ix) link road connecting the A19 southbound carriageway with the A66 westbound carriageway at Stockton Road Interchange;

(x) link roads connecting the A66 eastbound carriageway with the A19 northbound and southbound carriageways at Stockton Road Interchange;

(xi) A19 northbound and southbound entry and exit slip roads at the A1046 Portrack Interchange;

(xii) A19 northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads at the A139 Norton Interchange;

(xiii) A19 northbound and southbound entry and exit slip roads at the A1027 Stockton Ring Road Interchange; and

(xiv) A19 northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads at the A689 Wolviston Interchange.

A copy of the proposed Order, plans illustrating the proposal and a statement explaining Highways England Co Ltd reasons for proposing to make this Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at Middlesbrough Council, PO BOX 500, Middlesbrough TS1 9FT and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, PO BOX 11, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 1LD; or may be seen at or obtained by application from, the office of the Director, Network Delivery and Development (Yorkshire & North East), Highways England, 3rd Floor South, Lateral, 8 City Walk, Leeds, LS11 9AT, quoting the above Order title.

Any person wishing to object to Highways England Co Ltd proposal to make this Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director at the above address. The objection should quote the above order title and must be received not later than Friday 12 June 2015. When submitting an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of that objection provided in response to this consultation, including personal information, may also be subject to publication or disclosure in accordance with the access to information regimes (these are primarily the Freedom of Information Act 200 (FOIA), the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004).
