The City of Edinburgh Council proposes to make an Order under Section 1(1) and 152(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping up and predetermining the roads described in the schedules hereto. The title of the Order is “The City of Edinburgh Council (Scotstoun Avenue and, Sommerville Gardens, Queensferry) (Stopping Up) and (Redetermination of Means of Exercise of Public Right of Passage) Order 201_” RSO/15/01

A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the road over which the means of exercise of the public right of passage is to be redetermined, together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order have been deposited at The City of Edinburgh Council, City Chambers Reception, High St, Edinburgh or online at

www.edinburgh.gov.uk/trafficorders or www.tellmescotland.gov.uk Those documents are available for inspection free of charge from 3/2/15 until 3/3/15 between 09:30 and 15:30 Mon to Fri inclusive. All that part of the footpath on the south side of Scotstoun Ave, from a point 14m or thereby south of the intersection of the east kerbline of Sommerville Gdns and the south kerbline of Scotstoun Ave, eastwards to a point 13m or thereby east of the intersection of the east kerbline of Sommerville Gdns and the south kerbline of Scotstoun Ave and which has a width that varies from 0m or thereby to 2m or thereby.

All that part of the footpath on the north side of Scotstoun Ave, from a point 12m or thereby west of the intersection of the west kerbline of Sommerville and the said footpath; (a)eastwards for a distance of 86m or thereby and which has a width throughout of 2m or thereby, then (b) northwards for a distance of 6m or thereby and which has a width throughout of 2m or thereby, or (c)north-eastwards for a distance of 8m or thereby and which has a width throughout of 2m or thereby, or (d)southwards for a distance of 1 metre or thereby and which has a width throughout of 2m or thereby.

PART II ALTERNATIVE ROAD New sections of footway and/ or cycletrack will be constructed adjacent to the areas being stopped up.

All that part of the carriageway on the south side of Scotstoun Ave; (2) from a point 2m or thereby west of the intersection of the east kerbline of Sommerville Gdns and the south kerbline of Scotstoun Ave, eastwards;(a)or a distance of 5m or thereby and which has a width that varies from 0m or thereby to 4m or thereby, and then (b) for a distance of 39m or thereby and which has a width that varies from 4m or thereby to 0m or thereby.

Sommerville Gdns, West side All that part of the carriageway on the west side of Sommerville Gdns; from the intersection of the south kerbline of Scotstoun Ave and the west kerbline of Sommerville Gins southwards;(a) for a distance of 3m or thereby and which has a width that varies from 8m or thereby to 2m or thereby, and then (b) for a distance of 6m or thereby and which throughout of 2m or thereby.

East side All that part of the carriageway on the east side of Sommerville Gdns; from the intersection of the south kerbline of Scotstoun Ave and the east kerbline of Sommerville Gdns southwards;(a) for a distance of 7m or thereby and which has a width that varies from 12m or thereby to 2m or thereby, and then (b) for a distance of 7m or thereby and which has a width throughout of 2m or thereby.

SCHEDULE 3 ROADS OVER WHICH MEANS OF EXERCISE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF PASSAGE IS TO BE REDETERMINED FROM CARRIAGEWAY TO CYCLE TRACK
