NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers

In order to prevent obstructive parking, improve parking opportunities on street, improve traffic flow, sightlines and general road safety, the general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would be to introduce new and amend existing waiting restrictions in the borough, as follows.

New ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions would be provided around the junctions of:

Cowper Road and Chase Way N14, Woodvale Way and The Vale NW11, Colin Park Road and Colindeep Lane NW9, Welbeck Road and Cranbrook Road, East Barnet, Kings Drive and Oakleigh Gardens, Edgware, Arden Road and Hendon Lane,N3.

New ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions would be provided on certain lengths of:

The Ridgeway NW7 outside Adam and Eve Public House, Woodvale Way on the bend outside Nos.57-68 and No.69-80, Litchfield Road at its entrance to Westcroft Close NW2, Blandford Close, near its junction with the A1 Lyttelton Road N2.

The Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would also upgrade the existing operational hours to ‘at any time’ at the locations as follows:

• The existing 4pm to 7pm Monday to Friday waiting restriction outside No.1369 High Road N20

• The existing 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday waiting restriction at the junction of Ridge Road and Finchley Road, NW2.

• The existing 10am – 11am Monday to Friday waiting restriction at the junction of Oakleigh Gardens and Green Lane, Edgware.

• The existing Monday - Saturday 8am – Midnight on the south-west side of Burliegh Gardens at its junction of Chase Way N14

• The existing Monday - Saturday 8am – 6.30pm on the north-east side of Burliegh Gardens at its junction of Chase Way N14

• The existing Monday – Saturday 8am – 6.30pm on the north-west side of Chase Way between No.36 and the borough Boundary.

• The existing Monday – Sunday 8am – Midnight on the south-west of the Ridgeway outside Octagon House and Adam and Eve Pub on The Ridgeway, NW7

In order to deter obstructive parking, improve traffic flow and improve sightlines for both pedestrians and motorists and assist with the demand for parking on street during restricted periods the above Parking Places Orders would do the following:

• Introduce a new resident permit parking places outside No.18-20 The Drive, Edgware operating between 10am and 11am Monday to Friday.

• Convert an existing pay by phone parking bay situated No.1-16 Windsor Court, Golders Green Road NW11 currently operating between the hours of 9am – 5pm Monday - Sunday to a dual use resident/Pay by phone bay operating between the hours of 9am – 5.30pm Monday – Sunday.

• Convert an existing resident/business permit holders only parking bay situated opposite No.46-50 Friary Road, N12 currently operating between the hours of 9am – 5pm Monday – Saturday to a dual use resident/Pay by phone bay operating between the hours of 9am – 5pm Monday - Saturday.

• Introduce an additional length of resident/Business permit parking space outside No.61 Lincoln Road, N2 operating between 2pm and 3pm Monday to Friday.

• Remove two resident permit parking places situated on the northern side of Ridge Road between No.5 Ridge Road and Finchley Road 10am – 5pm Monday – Friday which would be replaced with a length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions under the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order.

In order to improve the demand for parking on street the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would do the following:

Remove the existing 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday and Saturday 8am – 1pm waiting restrictions outside Nos.58-72 and 86-92 The Fairway, NW7

A copy of the proposed Orders, and associated plans of the relevant areas and the Council’ Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at:

  • a Design Team, Building 4, North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London, N11 1NP
  • b Reception, Hendon Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BG
