THE HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM (LOADING BAY)(AMENDMENT NO. 12) ORDER 2014

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham on 19th March 2014 made the above Orders under sections 9 and 10 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Orders will come into force on 04th April 2014 and may continue in force for up to 18 months.
  • 2 The general nature and effect of the Hammersmith and Fulham (Restricted Zone)(No. 1) Order 2014 would be to introduce a new ‘Restricted Zone’ in those parts of Chancellor’s Road which lie between a point 9.00 metres north-east of the south-western building wall of No. 64 Chancellor’s Road and the south-western extremity of Chancellor’s Road.

Within the new ‘Restricted Zone’ waiting by vehicles would be prohibited at any time, except for vehicles using the parking places specified in Section 4 of this notice or the loading bay specified in Section 5 of this notice, in accordance with the times and conditions specified;

  • 3 The general nature and effect of the Hammersmith and Fulham (Waiting and Loading Restriction)(Consolidation)(Amendment No. 41) Order 2014 will be to further amend, as an experiment, the Hammersmith and Fulham (Waiting and Loading Restriction)(Consolidation) Order 2009 so that waiting and/or loading restrictions would be amended and/or introduced and/or revoked in certain lengths of Chancellor’s Road;
  • 4 The general effect of the Hammersmith and Fulham (Parking Places)(Zone A) (Amendment No. 14) Order 2014 would be to further amend, as an experiment, the Hammersmith and Fulham (Parking Places, Zone A) Order 2008 so that parking places would be amended and/or introduced and/or revoked in certain lengths of Chancellor’s Road;
  • 5 The general effect of the Hammersmith and Fulham (Loading Places) (Consolidation)(Amendment No. 11) Order 2014 would be to amend, as an experiment, the Hammersmith and Fulham (Loading Places)(Consolidation) Order 2009 so as to introduce a loading place in Chancellor’s Road;
  • 6 Where it appears necessary for certain purposes, the Head of Transport Policy & Network Management, or any person authorised by them may modify or suspend the orders or any provisions in it, while the orders are in force.
  • 7 A copy of the Orders and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive from the date on which this notice is published until the order ceases to have effect, at the offices of:

Transportation Policy Group, Transport and Technical Services Department, Town Hall Extension, King Street, Hammersmith, W6 9JU.

  • 8 The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Orders should be continued in force indefinitely by means of a permanent Order made under section 45, 46, 49 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Any person may object to the making of the permanent Orders within a period of six months beginning with the day on which the experimental Orders come into force or, if the Orders are varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force. Any such objection or other representation relating to the Orders must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to Traffic Orders Team, Transport and Technical Services Department, Town Hall Extension, King Street, Hammersmith, W6 9JU.
  • 9 If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or any of the provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
