  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the council of the London Borough of Southwark (‘the council’) propose to make the above-mentioned orders under Legislation section: sections 6, Legislation section: 45, Legislation section: 46, Legislation section: 49 and Legislation section: 124 of and Legislation section: Part IV of Legislation section: Schedule 9 to the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the orders would be, in:
    • a ACACIA GROVE - to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north side at its junction with Glazebrook Road;
    • b ALLEYN PARK - to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the east side at its junction with Rouse Gardens;
    • c BEATON CLOSE, BUSHEY HILL ROAD, ELCOT AVENUE, LUGARD ROAD, TARBERT ROAD, WAVENEY AVENUE, WOOD’S ROAD and ZENORIA STREET - to provide new disabled persons’ parking places in which vehicles displaying a valid disabled persons’ badge may be left without time limit;
    • d BURBAGE ROAD - to remove part of an existing ‘shared-use’ parking place on the south-west side and introduce a length of 12 noon to 2 pm, Monday to Friday waiting restrictions - to accommodate the construction of a footway crossover;
    • e COLLEGE ROAD - to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the west side at its junction with Kingswood Drive;
    • f GROVE LANE - to split existing an permit holder’s parking place on both the north-east and south-west side of the road and introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides of the road - to accommodate the construction of an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing point with footway build-outs;
    • g GROVE PARK - to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-west side at its junction with the access road to No. 113 Grove Park;
    • h HALF MOON LANE - [i] to remove an existing ‘shared-use’ parking place on the south side and introduce a length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions - to accommodate the construction of an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing point with a central refuge island, and [ii] to extend a limited stay free parking place on the north side - the additional kerb-side parking space being made available by the relocation of a bus stop;
    • i KINGSWOOD DRIVE - to introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Kingswood Drive;
    • j LINDEN GROVE - to extend by 20 metres an existing length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-east side at its junction with Ivydale Road;
    • k LITTLE BORNES - to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south side at its junction with Rouse Gardens;
    • l ROUSE GARDENS - to introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junctions with Alleyn Park and Little Bornes;
    • m RUSKIN WALK - to convert a redundant disabled persons parking place to permit holders’ parking;
    • n SYLVAN GROVE - to formalise existing waiting restrictions throughout; and
    • o WORLINGHAM ROAD, VARCOE ROAD, TRESCO ROAD, and BARRY ROAD - to remove redundant disabled persons parking places.

  • 5 Persons wishing to object to the proposal, or make any other representations in respect of it, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to, either: the Traffic orders officer, Public realm projects (parking design), Southwark council, Environment and leisure, P.O. Box 64529, London SE1P 5LX, or via e-mail to traffic.orders@southwark.gov.uk quoting reference PR/PD/TMO1213-007 by 14 June 2012 .
