THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that she has made an Order under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (South East) (No. 11) Order 2012” authorising the stopping up of an area of footway adjoining the south eastern corner of the Beach Hotel at Worthing, in the Borough of Worthing to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Roffey Homes Limited by Worthing Borough Council on 1 April 2011 under reference WB/10/0281/FULL.

COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, 2nd Floor, Lancaster House, Hampshire Court, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7YH (quoting reference NATTRAN/SE/S247/453) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Worthing Central Library, Richmond Road, Worthing, BN11 1HD.

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the 22 March 2012 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.

THE SCHEDULE

Planning permission is granted for proposed demolition of Beach Hotel and erection of mixed use development comprising 76 bedroom hotel, restaurant and spa facilities and 49 residential apartments together with undercroft car parking for 96 cars and secure cycle storage at the Beach Hotel, 123 Marine Parade, Worthing.
