THE GREENWICH (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 2011

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Greenwich Borough Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Legislation section: sections 6 and Legislation section: 124 of and Legislation section: Part IV of Legislation section: Schedule 9 to the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Orders would be to shorten the disabled persons’ parking place on the north-east side of Powis Street outside Nos. 116 to 130 Powis Street by 7.6 metres (taken from its south-eastern extremity outside Nos. 116 and 118 Powis Street). This length of disabled persons’ parking place would be replaced with double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions.
  • 3 A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at the Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise and Skills, Strategic Transportation, Greenwich Council, The Woolwich Centre, 35 Wellington Street, SE18 6HQ .

  • 5 Any person who wishes to object to or make other representations about the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing by 13th December 2011, specifying the grounds on which any objection is made, to Greenwich Council, PO Box 485, Kemp House, 152-160 City Road, London, EC1V 2NV (quoting reference PCL/TMO/PJ/10233).
  • 6 Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that, in view of the Legislation: Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice open to public inspection.
