OLYMPIC ROUTE NETWORK
Note: This Notice relates to the proposed introduction of traffic management measures on the A3212 Millbank, St Margaret Street, Abingdon Street and the A202 Vauxhall Bridge. It is anticipated that the measures will only be operational for a period of approximately 8 weeks whilst the Order is in force. The measures will become effective and be removed as close as operationally possible, to the start and end of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
Olympic Delivery Authority (No T9) Traffic Order 201—
- 1 The Olympic Delivery Authority hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 14(1) of the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006, under Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
- 2 The general nature and effect of the Order will be to introduce traffic management measures on the Olympic Route Network (ORN) to implement the Olympic Transport Plan and to facilitate transport services in connection with the London Olympics whilst minimising the impact of the Games on residents, businesses and all other road users.
- 3 The general affect of the Order on the A3212 Millbank, St Margaret Street, Abingdon
Street and the A202 Vauxhall Bridge will be to :-
- a introduce sections of ‘Games Lane’ on the A3212 Millbank and A202 Vauxhall Bridge;
- b prohibit some vehicle movements at the following junctions:
Millbank/Thorney Street, Millbank/Tate Britain, and Millbank/Atterbury Street;
- c Amend stopping restrictions along sections of the route;
- d Suspend the Cycle Superhighway on Millbank between Horseferry/Lambeth Bridge Roads and Vauxhall Bridge Road.
- 4 A copy of the draft Order, including drawings showing the location and effect of the Order can be viewed on the Transport for London (TfL) website at www.tfl.gov.uk/orn or inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:

- 5 All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and may either be sent to the ORN TRO Team, 5th Floor Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ or alternatively emailed to orntrafficorders@London2012.com. Objections must specify the grounds on which they are being made.
- 6 All objections and representations must quote reference No T9 and be received no later than 12th December 2011.
