NOTICE OF INTENT

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(B)

TIDAL BASIN ROAD (ELEVATED SECTION) SILVERTOWN, E16.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

• 1 The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL hereby gives notice that because of the likelihood of danger to the public caused by an unsafe bridge structure they intend to make an Order, the general effect of which will be to close and prohibit vehicular access in Tidal Basin Road (Elevated Section) between Silvertown way and Western Gateway, E16. The London Borough of Newham, as Traffic Authority, is satisfied that the danger will be removed within a period of eighteen months.
• 2 From 0001hrs Wednesday 23rd November 2011 until 23:59hrs, Wednesday 22nd May 2013 or until the safety works are completed whichever is the sooner.
• 3 Access will be permitted to vehicles used in connection with repair or surveying works to the structure.
• 4 The provisions will only apply when and where the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
