NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Council on 01 March 2010, made the Variation Order under Sections 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Amending the Parent Orders mentioned in the Annex to this notice.

The Orders will come into force on 01 April 2010 . The general nature and effect of the Orders will be:-

• 1 To increase the annual charge or rate for the type of permit, shown in column 1 to the new sum shown in column 3 of the table 1;
• 2 The Orders will also increase the hourly tariff at all (pay & display), (shared-use) and (meter) parking places in those Controlled Parking Zones in the borough, as shown in the table 2; NB: The meter tariffs in the other parts of the borough are not affected.
• 3 To increase the charge for a residents parking permit (emission based) according to the vehicle Band, shown in table 3.
• 4 To show a table indicating residents permit refund for those permits in table 4.

NB: the corresponding rate for people buying a residents permit for a motorcycle will be approximately 50% less and those using electrically propelled vehicles permits will be approximately 75% less than, shown in tariff 2, shown in table 2 below and in column 3 in table 1 below, excluding visitors permits, disabled badge and administrative charges.

A copy of the Order which will come into force on 01 April 2010 and of the Orders which have previously amended or applied those Orders and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, may be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Culture and Environment Reception, 5th floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street, WC1H 8EQ.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
