(ORPINGTON AREA)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 47, 49, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, sections 63 – 87 inclusive and Schedules 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Orders would be to:-
(a) remove one parking space opposite No. 23 Knoll Rise, two parking spaces outside Nos. 37 & 47 Lancing Road and two parking spaces outside Nos. 3 & 5 Badgers Copse in Tower Road;
(b) change of use of one existing parking space in Moorfield Road to a Disabled Bay as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(c) introduce additional Pay & Display/Telephone parking bays in Chislehurst Road as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(d) introduce additional Telephone parking bays in Mortimer Road and also to allow usage of all bays in Mortimer Road by Season Ticket holders (M) as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(e) amend remaining parking spaces in Tower Road to include option to Pay & Display as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(f) change of use of existing free parking spaces in White Hart Road to Pay & Display/Telephone parking as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(g) introduce Waiting and Loading Restrictions as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(h) introduce new disabled parking bays as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders.
A copy of the proposed orders, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent.
ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Leisure Services, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/494 not later than 6th February 2008.
Persons objecting to the proposed orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.
Schedule:-
PARKING PLACES
Pay and Display/Telephone Parking System parking between 8.30am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays. 50p per hour. 4 hour maximum stay.
CHISLEHURST ROAD, Orpington, the south west side, from a point 2m south east of the party wall of Nos. 9 & 11 north westwards to the party wall of Nos. 19 & 21. (2 additional parking spaces)
Pay and Display/Telephone Parking System parking between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays. 40p per hour. No maximum stay. Season Ticket holders (M) and Permit holders (K1) may park in parking places marked ‘Zones M & K1’ during the permitted hours with no additional charge.
TOWER ROAD, Orpington, the north east side, from a point 17m south east of the southern kerbline of The Avenue south eastwards for a distance of 43m. (8 parking spaces)
Pay and Display/Telephone Parking System parking between 8.30am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays. 50p per hour. 2 hour maximum stay.
WHITE HART ROAD, Orpington, the main arm running south east to north west, south west side, from a point 34m north west of its junction with High Street north westwards for a distance of 11m. (2 parking spaces)
Telephone Parking System parking between 8.30am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays. 50p per hour. 2 hour maximum stay. Season Ticket holders (M) may park during the permitted hours, Monday to Friday only, with no additional charge.
MORTIMER ROAD, Orpington, (a) the east side, from a point 12m south of the south western kerbline of Homefield Rise southwards for a distance of 33m. (1 additional parking space); (b) the west side, from a point 5m south of the south western kerbline of Homefield Rise southwards for a distance of 45m. (2 additional parking spaces).
WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS
No Waiting At Any Time:-
ELM GROVE, Orpington, the even numbered side, from a point 10m north east of the north eastern kerbline of The Approach south westwards to a point 10m south west of the south western kerbline of The Approach.
PERRY HALL ROAD, Orpington, the south side, from a point 25m west of the western kerbline of Footbury Hill Road eastwards to a point 25m east of the eastern kerbline of Footbury Hill Road;
THE APPROACH, Orpington, both sides, (i) from the south eastern kerbline of Elm Grove south eastwards for a distance of 12m; (ii) from the north western kerbline of Station Road north westwards for a distance of 29m.
No Waiting between 8am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive:-
ELM GROVE, Orpington, the odd numbered side, from a point 18m south west of the common boundary of Nos. 7 & 9 south westwards to the north eastern kerbline of Oakhill Road.
OAKHILL ROAD, Orpington, the north east side, from the north western kerbline of Elm Grove (southern arm) north westwards to a point 6m south east of the common boundary of Nos. 2 & 4.
No Waiting between 11am and 12noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive:-
HILLCREST ROAD, Orpington, (a) the north side, from a point 18.29m east of its junction with the eastern kerbline of Sevenoaks Road eastwards to its junction with the western kerbline of Felstead Road; (b) the south side, from a point 16m east of its junction with Sevenoaks Road eastwards to its junction with the western kerbline of Felstead Road.
No Loading between 8am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive:-
KNOLL RISE, Orpington, the south side, from the eastern kerbline of Orchard Grove eastwards to the common boundary of Nos. 3b & 3c.
DISABLED PARKING BAYS
Disabled Parking Bay – at any time – Maximum stay three hours:-
CHISLEHURST ROAD, Orpington, the south west side, outside No. 9.
MOORFIELD ROAD, Orpington, the south west side, near junction with High Street.
