THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (PETERSHAM ROAD, RICHMOND) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200*
PETERSHAM ROAD, RICHMOND
(REFERENCE 52/07)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames intends to make the above Order under section 84 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to make a small extension to the 20 mph speed limit zone which was introduced in August 2000 in Petersham Road and local side roads. The Council is proposing that the northern boundary of the speed limit zone should be located some 55 metres to the east of its current position, so as to be outside No 131 Petersham Road. The purpose is to accommodate a new signal-controlled pedestrian and cyclists crossing (notice of which is given separately) and to allow the traffic signs for the speed limit to be positioned away from the new crossing facility.
3. Further particulars, including a plan showing the location and effect of the Order and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice, quoting Reference 52/07, at:-
