THE CROYDON (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO 3) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006
1. Notice is hereby given that Croydon Council on 30 May 2006 made the above-mentioned
Traffic Order under sections 84 and 124 of, and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road
Traffic Act 1991.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit any motor vehicle exceeding
a sped of 20 miles per hour in George Street, from the south-western flank wall of
No 45 George Street to a point 13 metres north-east of its junctions with North End
and High Street, Croydon.
3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 5 June 2006, can be inspected
during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the “One Stop” facility,
Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.
4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Order Making Section, Parking Services,
1st Floor, Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon CR0 1QQ.
5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the order or any provision contained
therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant
regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may,
within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application to the High
Court.
