The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up of lengths of highway measuring a maximum length in total of 258.5 metres adjacent to Austwick Close, Dunire Close, Bishopdale Road, Wymar Close, Aysgarth Road and Reeth Close, Beaumont Leys, Leicester.
If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Lovell Partnerships by the Leicester City Council on 16 January 2006 under Ref 20051613. The proposed Order will require the improvement of existing highway by Lovell Partnerships, maintainable at public expense, and for which the highway authority is to be the Leicester City Council.
Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 15 May 2006 at Customer Services, Leicester City Council, B Block, New Walk Centre, Leicester LE1 6ZG and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for the East Midlands (quoting Ref EMCM 506435/1/225) at the address below.
Any person may object to the making of the proposed Order within the period of 28 days commencing 15 May 2006 by notice to the Secretary of State quoting the above reference, at the Government Office for the East Midlands, Transport, The Belgrave Centre, Stanley Place, Talbot Street, Nottingham NG1 5GG.
In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.
