WEST ACTON AREA CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE
1. Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Ealing Council, in connection
with the introduction of a controlled parking zone in the North Ealing and West Acton
station areas, on 30 March 2006 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6,
45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Ealing (West Acton) (Residents Parking Places) Order
2006 will be:
(a) to introduce parking places for the use of residents, their visitors and business
users in lengths of Boileau Road, Churchill Gardens, Deena Close, Golf Road, Green
Vale, Groveside Close, Hanger Vale Lane, Hanger View Way, Howard Close, Links Road,
Monks Drive, Noel Road (from Nos 72 to 200 even and Nos 161 to 273 odd), Princes Gardens,
Queen’s Drive, Saxon Drive (from Nos 102 to 154 even and Nos 79 to 117 odd), Station
Road, North Ealing, The Link, Tudor Gardens and Vale Lane;
(b) to provide that the parking places will operate between the hours of 10.00 am
to 11.00 am and between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and
(c) to provide that passenger vehicles, goods carrying vehicles, motorcycles and
disabled persons vehicles may be left in a parking place without limitation on time
during the controlled hours, and that with the exception of motorcycles and disabled
persons vehicles, a valid permit or voucher must be displayed whilst parked therein.
3. The general effect of the Ealing (Free Parking Places) (No 2) (Amendment No 76)
Order 2006 will be:
(a) to introduce a limited time free parking place where parking by vehicles between
the hours of 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive will be limited to
30 minutes with no return by the same vehicle to the same parking place for a period
of 1 hour in Boileau Road, on its east side, outside Nos 1 to 3 Boileau Parade;
(b) to introduce a limited time free parking place where parking by vehicles between
the hours of 8.00 am and 6.30 pm an Mondays to Fridays inclusive will be limited to
1 hour with no return by the same vehicle to the same parking place for a period of
1 hour in Boileau Road, on its south-west side, adjacent to the north-eastern boundary
of No 40 Corringway;
(c) to introduce limited time free parking places where parking by vehicles between
the hours of 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive will be limited
to 1 hour with no return by the same vehicle to the same parking place for a period
of 1 hour in Noel Road, on its south-east side, outside Nos 227-229, in Queen’s Drive,
on its south-east side, outside Queen’s Parade; in Saxon Drive, on its south-east
side and in Station Road, on its south-east side, at its junction with Queen’s Drive;
and
(d) to introduce limited time free parking places where parking by vehicles between
the hours of 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive will be limited
to 2 hours with no return by the same vehicle to the same parking place for a period
of 1 hour in Vale Lane, both sides, between the junctions with Monks Drive and Hanger
View Way.
4. The general effect of the Ealing (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (Amendment
No 59) Order 2006 will be to introduce free parking places for vehicles displaying
the disabled driver’s blue badge parking permit without limit on time in Boileau Road
outside No 8 and outside Balcon Court; in Noel Road outside No 182 and in Saxon Drive
outside No 85.
5. The general effect of the Ealing (Doctor Parking Places) (Special Parking Area)
(No 1) (Amendment No 10) Order 2006 will be to introduce a parking place operating
from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays in Boileau Road on its south-west side,
at its junction with Hanger Vale Lane for vehicles displaying a doctor’s permit issued
by the Council. The permits will cost £250 per annum.
6. The general effect of the Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking
Area) (Amendment No 268) Order 2006 will be to amend existing waiting restrictions
or introduce new waiting restrictions that apply at any time at road junctions or
between the controlled hours of 10.00 am to 11.00 am and 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm on Mondays
to Fridays in lengths of Boileau Road, Churchill Gardens, Deena Close, Golf Road,
Green Vale, Groveside Close, Hanger Vale Lane, Hanger View Way, Howard Close, Links
Road, Monks Drive, Noel Road, Princes Gardens, Queen’s Drive, Saxon Drive, Station
Parade, Station Road, North Ealing, The Link, Tudor Gardens and Vale Lane.
7. Business Parking Permits will be available at a cost of £250 per annum and Residents’
Parking Permits at a cost of £25 per annum.
8. Business Visitors Vouchers can be purchased at a cost of £1 per hour and Residents’
Visitors Vouchers can be purchased at a cost of 80p for use during two separate visits.
9. Borough wide visitors’ service vouchers will be available to park in the zone
for £1 per hour.
10. The Orders, which will come into force on 3 April 2006, precise details concerning
the lengths of roads affected and other documents giving more detailed particulars
of the Orders are available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Mondays to
Fridays inclusive at Mouchel Parkman Ltd., 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5
2BP, until 11 May 2006.
11. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision
contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof,
or of any relevant regulations made thereunder, has not been complied with in relation
to any of the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 11
May 2006.
