NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECTION 88
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act
1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Anglian Water
Services Ltd for a variation of an existing consent to discharge up to 13,651 cubic
metres per day of biologically treated sewage effluent into the Twenty Foot River
at National Grid Ref TL 4405 9928 from March Sewage Treatment Works (STW), March,
Cambridgeshire. March STW is within the Fenland District Council and Cambridgeshire
County Council areas.
This application is for a temporary change to the treatment process to include dosing
of the effluent with a polyelectrolyte substance to improve the removal of suspended
solids from the final effluent.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Planning and Corporate Services Manager, Environment Agency, Bromholme
Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE28 4NE, not later than 18 January 2006,
quoting Ref AECNF 4157/11933.
Please be aware that any representation may be made available to third parties unless
specifically requested otherwise.
A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the Public Register
at the Environment Agency, Kingfisher House, Goldhay Way, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough
PE2 5ZR, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays).
