NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS FOR LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that L & A.E. Munns and Son of Westmoor Farm, Honeysome Road, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire PE16 6SD, is applying to the Environment Agency for the following licences to abstract water. 1. To vary Licence Serial No 6/33/53/S/739 for the abstraction of water from Fillenhams Drain and other drains and dykes within the areas of the Nightlayers and the Warboys, Somersham and Pidley Internal Drainage Boards at Chatteris and Doddington, Fenland district, Cambridgeshire. The variation is to add additional lands at West Moor off Third Furlong Drove; at Buttercup Farm both at Chatteris, Fenland district and at Sewards Farm, Warboys parish, Huntingdonshire district, Cambridgeshire with abstractions between TL 3687 8432 and TL 3733 8384; also between TL 3801 8508 and TL 3806 8522. All other conditions of existing licence remain the same. 2. To abstract water from the Westmoor Drain at TL 3695 8640 to fill a winter storage reservoir between 1 November and 31 March the next year at the following rates; 45.5 cubic metres per hour, 1,092 cubic metres per day and 68,200 cubic metres per year for subsequent reabstraction from drains between 1 April and 31 October each year subsequent to a simultaneous compensatory transfer of water from the reservoir at a rate 10 per cent greater than the quantity being abstracted. Abstractions from drains between TL 3626 8676 and TL 3798 8630; TL 3687 8432 and TL 3733 8384; TL 3695 8640 and TL 3707 8683; TL 3716 8630 and TL 3740 8664; TL 3729 8622 and TL 3750 8651; TL 3740 8696 and TL 3740 8728; TL 3745 8531 and TL 3780 8544; TL 3801 8508 and TL 3806 8522. A copy of the applications and any maps, plans or other documents may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Whitemoor Farm, Honeysome Road, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire PE16 6SD between 18 November 2005 and 16 December 2005.
