THE LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO ) ORDER 200
(WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO ) ORDER 200
1. Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general effect of the Orders will be: (a) to introduce a mandatory contra-flow cycle lane on St Marks Road from a point 10 metres west of the boundary wall of 30 and 32 St Marks Road westwards for a distance of 13 metres; (b) to introduce an at any time waiting restriction on St Marks Road from the boundary wall of numbers 30 and 32 St Mark’s Road westwards for a distance of 33.7 metres. 3. Nothing in these Orders will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. Nothing in these Orders will apply to any vehicle if being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes. 5. A copy of the draft Orders, plans identifying the areas affected by the draft Orders and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders can be inspected during the Council’s normal office hours Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey. 6. Any person desiring to comment on the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, and the grounds thereof if an objection to the Environment and Regeneration Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey SM4 5DX, quoting Ref ES/SGE, no later than the 26 August 2005.
