SECTION 27 NOTICE
NATIONAL TYRE SERVICE PENSION PLAN (“THE PLAN”)
Notice is hereby given under section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Trustees
are winding up the Plan. This notice excludes former employees who have already been
contacted within the last 12 months.
Any former employee of National Tyre Service Limited, Birkenshaw Tyre Company Limited,
Stepgrades Motor Accessories Limited, or any person entitled to claim through such
former employee not presently receiving benefit from the Plan, and who believes they
are entitled to receive benefit, should contact David Edwards, HSBC Actuaries and
Consultants Limited, Spectrum House, 2 Powderhall Road, Edinburgh EH7 4GB, to make
a claim for such benefits. All persons making such claims should provide full details
of their name, address, date of birth and period of employment together with copies
of all documents which support their claim. Any claim must be made within 2 months
of the date of publication of this notice.
Furthermore if any person or persons not being a former Member or Members of the
plan, believes they have any claim against the assets of the Plan, they should write
to David Edwards at the address shown within 2 months of the date of publication of
this notice, setting out full details of their claim and including full supporting
documentation.
After the expiry of a period of 2 months following the publication of this notice
the Trustees shall commence the final distribution of the assets of the Plan, taking
account only of claims and interests of which they then have notice. The Trustees
will not thereafter be liable to or in respect of any other Member, former Member
or other person who has not made a claim on the assets of the Plan.
