VARIOUS AMENDMENTS TO THE CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE—ACKLAM ROAD, BASIL STREET, CHELSEA BRIDGE ROAD, CHELSEA MANOR GARDENS, DONNE PLACE, DRAYCOTT AVENUE, DUDMASTON MEWS, EGERTON PLACE, HARRINGTON GARDENS, JUBILEE PLACE, LEXHAM GARDENS, LOTS ROAD, MELBURY ROAD, MIDDLE ROW, NEVERN SQUARE, NOTTING HILL GATE, PAVILION ROAD, REDCLIFFE ROAD, SIRDAR ROAD, UPCERNE ROAD AND WRIGHT’S LANE

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the Road Traffic Regulation (Parking) Act 1986 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be, in: (a) Acklam Road, to introduce 3 new “Pay and Display” parking places; (b) Basil Street, to remove a motorcycle parking area and reinstate “At any time” waiting restrictions; (c) Chelsea Bridge Road, to introduce a length of “At any time” waiting restrictions; (d) Chelsea Manor Gardens, to introduce a new area of Residents’ parking; (e) Donne Place, to convert a motorcycle parking area to Residents’ parking; (f) Draycott Avenue, to convert a “Pay and Display” parking place to a motorcycle parking area; (g) Dudmaston Mews, to convert a “Pay and Display” parking place to a Disabled Person’s “Blue Badge” parking place; (h) Egerton Place, to convert 3 “Pay and Display” parking places to Residents’ parking; (i) Harrington Gardens, to convert an area of Residents’ parking to a Diplomatic Missions’ parking place; (j) Jubilee Place, to convert 3 “Pay and Display” parking places to Residents’ parking; (k) Lexham Gardens, to convert 4 “Pay and Display” parking places to Residents’ parking; (l) Lots Road, to convert 4 “Pay and Display” parking places to Residents’ parking, relocate a small area of Residents’ parking and introduce a new length of “7.00 am to 6.30 pm, Monday to Saturday” waiting restrictions; (m) Melbury Road, to remove a “Pay and Display” parking place and introduce a length of “At any time” waiting restrictions; (n) Middle Row, to convert 3 “Pay and Display” parking places to Residents’ parking; (o) Nevern Square, to convert 5 “Pay and Display” parking places to Residents’ parking; (p) Notting Hill Gate, to remove a kerb build-out and provide 2 new “Pay and Display” parking places; (q) Pavilion Road, to convert a “Pay and Display” parking place to a motorcycle parking area; (r) Redcliffe Road, to provide 2 new “Pay and Display” parking places; (s) Sirdar Road, to convert a “Pay and Display” parking place to a Disabled Person’s “Blue Badge” parking place; (t) Upcerne Road, to convert 3 “Pay and Display” parking places to Residents’ parking; and (u) Wright’s Lane, to provide 3 new “Pay and Display” parking places. 3. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders can be inspected at the Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. 4. Persons desiring to object to any of the proposed Orders, or make any other representations in respect of them, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof, to the Council’s agents in this matter, the Project Centre, Saffron Court, 14 b St Cross Street, London EC1N 8XA, quoting Ref PCL/PARKING/TMO/RDH by 24 June 2004. 5. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any letter you write to the Council in response to this notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
