THE ISLINGTON (PARKING PLACES) (NO 17) ORDER 2004
HORNSEY ROAD AND SHELBURNE ROAD

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of The London Borough of Islington on 10 May 2004 made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the waiting and loading restriction Order will be to: (a) increase the waiting restrictions so that they would apply “at any time” in the lengths of streets referred to in Schedule 1 to this Notice; (b) change the waiting restrictions so that they would apply between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and between 8.00 am and 1.30 pm on Saturdays in the lengths of streets referred to in Schedule 2 to this Notice; and (c) remove certain loading restrictions from Hornsey Road. 3. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be: (a) in Hornsey Road: (i) the north-east side, to shorten the pay & display parking place outside Nos 220 to 234 Hornsey Road by 2 metres; and (ii) the south-west side, to shorten the permit holders’ parking place outside Emanuel Church, Hornsey Road by 2 metres; (b) in Shelburne Road: (i) the north-west side, to provide a residents’ parking place outside No 9 Shelburne Road, providing additional residents’ parking space for 5 vehicles; (ii) the south-east side, to provide a residents’ parking place outside No 26 Shelburne Road, providing additional residents’ parking space for 2 vehicles; (c) to provide that the hours during which vehicles may be left in the permit holders parking places and the hours during which vehicles may be left and the charges for the leaving of vehicles in the pay & display parking places would remain unchanged; and (d) to provide that the residents’ parking places would be available for use of vehicles displaying: (i) a valid residents’ permit, a valid visitors’ voucher or vouchers up to a maximum of 6 hours, a valid all day visitors’ voucher, a valid hired vehicle residents’ permit and valid hired vehicles residents’ vouchers, a valid teachers’ permit, or a valid permit to park during the period between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and between 8.30 am and 1.30 pm on Saturdays, any such day not being a Public Holiday on any day other than that on which a match involving Arsenal FC is being played at the Arsenal football stadium; (ii) a valid permit referred to in (d)(i) above during the period between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm on Saturdays and between noon and 4.30 pm on Sundays and Public Holidays on any day on which a match involving Arsenal FC is being played at the Arsenal football stadium; (iii) a valid match day permit during the period between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm on Saturdays and between noon and 4.30 pm on Sundays and Public holidays on any day on which a match involving Arsenal FC is being played at the Arsenal football stadium. 4. The Orders, which will come into force on 14 May 2004, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until 21 June 2004 at the following location: Traffic and Transportation, The Municipal Offices, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA Further information may be obtained by telephoning Parking Projects on extension 020 7527 8025. 5. Any person who desires to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 21 June 2004. B Kainth, Assistant Director for Traffic & Transportation Schedule 1 No waiting at any time Hornsey Road: (a) the north-east side, between a point 3.5 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Citizen Road and a point 18 metres south-east of that kerbline; (b) the south-west side, between a point 8.5 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Lowman Road and a point 38 metres south-east of that kerbline. Shelburne Road, the north-west side, between a point 5.5 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Annette Road and a point 10 metres north-east of that kerbline. Schedule 2 No waiting between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and between 8.00 am and 1.30 pm on Saturdays Hornsey Road, the north-east and south-east side, between a point 18 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Citizen Road and a point 25 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Holloway Road; the south-west and north-west side, between a point 38 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Lowman Road and a point 20 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Holloway Road. 13 May 2004.
