PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF PART OF CHAPEL LANE, BADSWORTH
Notice is hereby given that the City of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, being the highway authority for the highway hereinafter mentioned, intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court for the Petty Sessional Division of Pontefract, sitting at the Court House, Front Street, Pontefract, West Yorkshire, on Monday 19 April 2004, at 2.00 pm, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the said Council to stop up for the purposes of all traffic, the following highway, namely that part of Chapel Lane, Badsworth, extending from a point 2 metres from its northern junction with Back Lane, for a distance of approximately 15 metres in a south-westerly direction, more particularly delineated on the map which has been deposited and may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the Reception Desk, County Hall, Wakefield, and at Ackworth Library, Bell Lane, Ackworth, on the ground that it is unnecessary. Any person wishing to object to the proposal or to make representations about it may appear at the hearing at the date and time shown above.
