NEW ROADS AND STREETWORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS FOR ROAD PURPOSES

1. Three months’ advance notice is hereby given that Halton Borough Council as the Highway Authority intends to carry out substantial road works for road purposes.
2. The street in which these works will take place is Bradley Way, Widnes (carriageway).
3. Work is expected to affect the carriageway at the junction of the new Peelhouse Lane Link Road from a point approximately 70 metres west of the junction with Greenoaks Way for a distance of approximately 120 metres in a westerly direction.
4. The works are expected to commence on 27 October 2003.
5. The works notified will include: Resurfacing of the carriageway in flexible materials over the length described in 3 above.
6. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion of the works described without the consent of the said Halton Borough Council which is not to be unreasonably withheld.
