THE HACKNEY (PARKING PLACES) (NO 10) ORDER 2002

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney on 23 December 2002 intends to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, sections 66, 69, 70 to 74, 76 and 77 of the Road Traffic Act 1991, and all the other enabling powers. 2. The general effect of the proposed Order is to create a New Parking Places Order for the Hackney (Victoria Park) “L” Zone area, introducing pay and display parking and shared use parking. The new Order will regulate parking with the following effect: 4 hours pay and display machines with shared use: Cadogan Terrace, Gascoyne Road, Morning Lane, Rosina Street, Sedgewick Street, Shepherds Lane, Victoria Park Road. Resident Permit Parking: Annis Road, Ballance Road, Barnabas Road, Benn Street, Bentham Road, Berger Road, Bradstock Road, Bramshaw Road, Brookfield Road, Bushberry Road, Cadogan Close, Cadogan Terrace, Cassland Road, Chevet Street, Christie Road, Crozier Terrace, Daley Street, Danesdale Road, Digby Road, Flanders Way, Gascoyne Road, Harrowgate Road, Hartlake Road, Hassett Road, Hedgers Grove, Hillyfield Close, Homer Road, Kemeys Street, Kenton Road, Mabley Street, Morning Lane, Oriel Road, Swinnerton Street, Victoria Park Road, Wick Road. The hours of operation will be 7.00 am to 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays, with the exception of Bank Holidays. The charge for parking is £2.00 per hour, the charge for a Business Permit £320.00 per annum, and for a Residents Permit £80.00 per annum. 3. Copies of: (a) the proposed Order; (b) a map indicating the effect and location of the Order; (c) the exisiting Orders; and (d) the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, are available for inspection during normal opening hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, in the reception area, Directorate of Community and Learning, London Borough of Hackney, Dorothy Hodgkin House, Reading Lane, London E8 1HJ, from a period of 28 days from the date this notice is published. 4. In pursuance of section 10(2) of the said 1984 Act, the Assistant Director (Planning and Transportation) of the London Borough of Hackney, or some person authorised in that behalf by him, may if it appears to him or that person, essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient or safe movement of traffic or the preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which any road affected by the Order runs may amend or suspend the Order or any provisions thereof. 5. Any person who wishes to object or make other representation in relation to the proposed Order must do so in writing, specifying the grounds for the objection, to the Director of Community and Learning, London Borough of Hackney, Dorothy Hodgkin House, Reading Lane, London E8 1HJ, within 28 days from the date this notice is published. 6. Copies of the proposed Order and further information may be obtained by contacting the Director of Community and Learning on 020-8356 8023.
