THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO ) (AMENDMENT NO ) ORDER 200 [REF WL385]
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of this Order is to reduce dangerous and/or obstructive parking near certain road junctions. 3. The general effect of this Order will be to: (a) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” at the following junctions: (i) Beddington Lane at its junction with Jessops Way; (ii) Byron Avenue East at its junctions with Byron Avenue, Cowper Avenue and Kingsley Avenue; (iii) Clover Way at its junction with Violet Close; (iv) Henley Avenue at its junction with Frogmore Close; (v) London Road at its junction with Bowman’s Meadow; (vi) Malden Road at its junction with Wordsworth Drive; (vii) Ranfurly Road at its junctions with St Johns Road and Fairlands Avenue; (viii) River Gardens at its junctions with Shepley Close; (ix) Shirley Avenue at its junctions with Milton Avenue and Kingsley Avenue; (x) Staines Avenue at its junction with Marlow Drive; and (xi) Thornton Road at its junctions with Waltham Road for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. (b) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” in Hackbridge Road for the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (c) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm Mondays to Saturdays inclusive” in Camden Road near its junction with North Street for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; and (d) redefine the length of existing waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” in Grennell Road near its junction with Danescourt Crescent for the length of road specified in Schedule 3 to this notice. 4. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents: (a) the draft Order; (b) the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order; and (c) plans showing the locations and effects of the proposals. If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send a statement in writing, including the grounds for your objection and quoting Ref WL385 to the address given below by 27 December 2002. 7. Persons objecting to the making of such an Order should be made aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice open to public inspection, if requested. Byron Avenue East at its junctions with Byron Avenue, Cowper Avenue and Kingsley Avenue: Byron Avenue East, (a) from the western kerbline of Kingsley Avenue south-westwards for a distance of 10 metres; (b) the south-east side, from a point 6 metres north-east of the eastern kerbline of Cowper Avenue to a point 10 metres south-west of the western kerbline of Cowper Avenue; (c) from the eastern kerbline of Byron Avenue north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres; Byron Avenue, the east side, from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Byron Avenue East to a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of Byron Avenue East; Cowper Avenue, from the south-eastern kerbline of Byron Avenue East southwards for a distance of 10 metres; Kingsley Avenue, the west side, from a point 10 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Byron Avenue East to a point 10 metres south of the south-eastern kerbline of Byron Avenue East. Clover Way at its junction with Violet Close: Clover Way, the south-east side, from a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Violet Close to a point 10 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Violet Close; Violet Close, from the south-eastern kerbline of Clover Way south-eastwards for a distance of 6 metres. Hackbridge Road, the south-east side: from a point 36 metres south-west of a point opposite the south-western flank wall of the “Red Lion” Public House south-westwards for a distance of 36 metres. Henley Avenue at its junction with Frogmore Close: Henley Avenue, the west side, from a point 13.5 metres north of the northern kerbline of Frogmore Close to a point 15 metres south of the southern kerbline of Frogmore Close; Frogmore Close, from the western kerbline of Henley Avenue westwards for a distance of 15 metres. London Road, Hackbridge at its junction with Bowman’s Meadow: London Road, the west side, from a point 10 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Bowman’s Meadow to a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Bowman’s Meadow; Bowman’s Meadow, from the western kerbline of London Road north-westwards for a distance of 10 metres. Malden Road at its junction with Wordsworth Drive: Malden Road, the south-west side, from a point 15 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Wordsworth Drive to a point 17 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Wordsworth Drive; Wordsworth Drive, from the south-western kerbline of Malden Road south-westwards for a distance of 10 metres. Ranfurly Road at its junctions with St Johns Road and Fairlands Avenue: Ranfurly Road: (a) from the south-eastern kerbline of Fairlands Avenue, south-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres; (b) from the north-western kerbline of St Johns Road north-westwards for a distance of 10 metres; St Johns Road, Sutton, the north-west side, from a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Ranfurly Road to a point 10 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Ranfurly Road; Fairlands Avenue, the south-east side, from a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Ranfurly Road to a point 7.6 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Ranfurly Road. River Gardens at its junction with Shepley Close: River Gardens, the south-west side, from a point 10 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Shepley Close to a point 14 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Shepley Close; Shepley Close, from the south-western kerbline of River Gardens south-westwards for a distance of 14 metres.
