THE WANDSWORTH (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREAS) (AMENDMENT NO 92) ORDER 2002

AMENDMENTS TO THE BUS LANE, PARKING PLACES AND WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS IN PUTNEY BRIDGE ROAD

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth, on 14 May 2002, made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The effect of the Bus Priority Order will be to amend the Wandsworth (Bus Priority) (No 2) Traffic Order 2000, as it relates to Putney Bridge Road to: (a) permit the bus lane to be used by all buses (taxis and pedal cycles are not affected); (b) vary the hours of operation to 7.00 am to 10.00 am and 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays; and (c) extend the length of the bus lane by 10 metres at its north-western end. 3. The effect of the Parking Places Order will be to amend the Wandsworth (Putney) (Parking Places) (No 2) Order 1997 so as to: (a) amend the parking places on the south-west side of Putney Bridge Road between its junctions with Burstock Road and Atney Road to operate between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays to accommodate the change in operational hours of the bus lane. 4. The effect of the Waiting and Loading Order will be to amend the Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (No 1) Order 1994 as to extend the hours of the waiting and loading restrictions on the south-west side of Putney Bridge Road between Putney High Street and Atney Road to operate during the revised hours of the bus lane. 5. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 20 May 2002, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made in The Concourse, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU. 6. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from Engineering Services, Department of Technical Services at the address given below (telephone 020 8871 6547). 7. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not beeen complied with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks from date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
