THE A4042 TRUNK ROAD (LLANELLEN, ABERGAVENNY, MONMOUTHSHIRE) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200
Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Environment, acting on behalf of the National Assembly for Wales, proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the proposed Order will be to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour in that length of the A4042 Newport to Shrewsbury Trunk Road (hereinafter referred to as “the trunk road”) at Llanellen, Abergavenny in the county of Monmouthshire which extends from a point 106 metres south of Gypsy Lane Junction (B4269/A4042) in a generally north-easterly direction to a point 200 metres south of the centre point of the junction with Hardwick Lane (County Highway C208-10), a distance of 503 metres. During a period of 21 days from 7 March 2002, a copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan and a statement of reasons for the making of the Order, may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours at Llanellen Post Office, Llanellen, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire or may be obtained, free of charge, from the address below quoting Ref CZ 510-2-25-1. Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made, and quoting Ref CZ 510-2-25-1, must be sent in writing to the Welsh Assembly Government, Transport Directorate, Roads Administration Division 3, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ, by 28 March 2002. In the preparation of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection, it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
