CHASE SIDE, ENFIELD AND LAVENDER HILL—WAITING RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (Waiting
and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. 172) Order 2001, under
sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
The effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be further to amend
the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) Order 1994, so
that:
the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on:
(a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting
goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) will be changed so that it will apply at
any time in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(b) waiting by vehicles for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading
or unloading a vehicle for a period of more than 20 minutes in the same place will
be changed so that it will apply between 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. throughout the week
in the lengths of streets referred to in sub-paragraph (a) above.
A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 26th February 2001, of a map
indicating the location and effect of the Order, of the Council’s statement of reasons
for proposing to make the Order and the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction)
(Special Parking Area) Order 1994 (and of the Orders which have previously amended
or applied that Order) can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic
Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD, during normal office hours on Mondays
to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was
made.
Copies of the Order may be obtained from Traffic Engineering, the Civic Centre, Silver
Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD.
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained
therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant
regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may,
within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose
to the High Court.

Schedule
Change of Waiting Restrictions
from: 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., Monday to Saturday, to: At Any Time
Chase Side, Enfield:
(a) the east side, between a point 19.5 metres north of a point opposite the northern
wall of No. 245 Chase Side and a point 12.5 metres north of a point opposite the northern
wall of No. 245 Chase Side;
(b) the west side, between its junction with Lavender Hill and a point 13.5 metres
north of a point opposite the northern wall of No. 245 Chase Side.
Lavender Hill:
(a) the north-west side, between a point 12.5 metres north-east of the north-eastern
boundary of No. 5 Lavender Hill and a point 2.5 metres north-east of the common boundary
of Nos. 7 and 9 Lavender Hill;
(b) the north-west side, between its junction with Chase Side and the north-eastern
kerb-line of the unnamed service road fronting Nos. 210 to 214 Chase Side, Enfield.
