NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Well Well Well (UK) Ltd, of Telford House, Hamilton Close, Basingstoke, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Borehole “Source 8” at National Grid Reference NY 5055 4183 at Well Well Well (UK) Ltd, Armathwaite, Cumbria. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 60 cubic metres per hour 1,440 cubic meters per day 288,000 cubic metres (per year). Total abstractions for site will not exceed those of existing licence. The water will be used for bottled water supply and associated bottle washing. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at Well Well Well, Armathwaite, Cumbria between 18th August and 18th September 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Ghyll Mount, Gillan Way, Penrith 40 Business Park, Penrith CA11 9BP, before the end of the said period.
