THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (COUNTY OF HERTFORDSHIRE) (NO. 2) ORDER 2000

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on application of Commercial Development Projects Limited, he has made an Order, under section 247 of the above Act, entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Hertfordshire) (No. 2) Order 2000” authorising the stopping-up of a length of all-purpose highway on land at Fairlands Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, to enable development consisting of three retail units and associated car parking to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Corstorphine Wright Kenzie Lovell Limited by Stevenage Borough Council on 17th August 1999 under Ref. 98/00427/FP. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the East of England (Planing and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, (quoting GT/K1935/35/1/18), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Stevenage Borough Council, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 23rd June 2000, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provision contained therein.
