TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order, under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up of an area of highway at Salamanca (formerly Newsweek House), Wellington Street/Queensmere Road, Slough, Berkshire. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to the Fookes Partnership, by Slough Borough Council on 31st January 2000, under the Ref. P/03882/012. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected, at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 8th June 2000, at the offices of Slough Borough Council, The Town Hall, Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire SL1 3UQ, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for the South East, (quoting Ref. GOSE/029/001/BERK/040), at the address below. During the above-mentioned 28 days anyone may object to the making of this Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting Ref. GOSE/029/001/BERK/040 and addressing their objection to the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for the South East, Second Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection may be communicated to the applicant and other people who may be affected by it.
