HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND TWELFTH SCHEDULE

Notice is hereby given that The Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them, intend to apply to the Rochdale, Middleton & Heywood Magistrates’ Court at The Court House, Town Meadows, Rochdale OL16 1BR, on Wednesday, 5th July 2000, at 10 a.m., for an Order, under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the closure of: Part of the Smithy Bridge Road, Littleborough, the north-easterly side from its junction with Milnrow Road, being 4 metres north-west of the track adjacent to 157 Smithy Bridge Road for a distance of 5 metres in a north-westerly direction for an average depth of 2 metres. The effect of the said Order is shown on the plan, which may be inspected, free of charge, at the Borough Solicitor’s Office, The Rochdale Borough Council, Town Hall, Rochdale, and the Information Office, Harehill Park, Littleborough during normal office hours.
