NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

Three months’ advance notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council as Highway Authority intends to carry out Substantial Works for Road Purposes. The streets in which these works will take place are: (a)  Station Road (A608), Langley Mill. (b)  Compton Street (A517), Ashbourne. (c)  Derby Road/Nottingham Road (A6005), Long Eaton. Works are expected to affect the: (a) carriageway between the A6007 and A610. (b) carriageway and footway between Station Street and Dig Street. (c) carriageway at the Waverley Street and Market Place islands. Works are expected to commence on 31st July 1999. The works notified will include the following: (a) Plane off carriageway in channels; Overlay carriageway; adjust ironwork as required. (b) Thin wearing course to carriageway; adjust ironwork as required; reconstruct footway; partial rekerbing. (c) Thin wearing course overlay; adjust ironwork as required. 6 Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from the completion of the works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
