NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

Three months advance notice is hereby given that Suffolk County Council (Highways Authority) intends to carry out substantial works for road purposes. 2. The street in which these works will take place is A143 Ixworth to Stanton Road. 3. Work is expected to affect the carriageway/footway between a point 500 metres north of the northernmost junction of the A143 and the A1088 and a point 15 metres north of the A143/B1111 junction. 4. Work is expected to commence on 26th July 1999. 5. The works notified will include the following: (a) Patching and carriageway works. (b) 22,200 square metres. 6. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed on or after the date given in paragraph 4 above without the consent of the said (Highways Authority) which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
