NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF PROPOSALS FOR A UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
ROCHDALE UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Notice is hereby given that on 30th March 1999, Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council
adopted these proposals with modifications. The adopted proposals will form the development
plan for the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale. The development plan forms the basis
for decisions on land-use planning affecting that area.
Copies of the adopted proposals are available for inspection at the Environment Department
Reception, Floor 1, Telegraph House, Baillie Street, Rochdale, Monday to Friday 8.45
a.m. to 4.45 p.m. and also at the following libraries:
Wheatsheaf Library, Wheatsheaf Centre, Baillie Street, Rochdale;
Middleton Library, Long Street, Middleton;
Heywood Central Library, Church Street, Heywood;
Milnrow Library, Newhey Road, Milnrow;
Littleborough Library, Harhill Park, Harehill Road, Littleborough;
Castleton Library, Manchester Road, Castleton, during their normal opening hours.
The proposals came into operation on their adoption. A person aggrieved by the proposals
who desires to question their validity on the grounds that they are not with the powers
conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 or that any requirement
of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation
to the adoption of the proposals, may, within 6 weeks from 1st April 1999, make an
application to the High Court under section 287 of the 1990 Act.
