APPLICATION FOR ORDERS AUTHORISING THE STOPPING-UP OF AREAS OF FOOTWAY OF MARKET STREET AND CROSS STREET (A6042) MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Manchester, intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester, on Thursday, 25th March 1999, at 2 p.m., for Orders under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of the highways specified hereto on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan showing the said highways may be inspected, without payment at my office, Room 601, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Orders may appear before the Court and make objections or representations thereto. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me, quoting Ref. L/ED/EVD5001/111, before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear. S. Schedule The area of highway situated in the eastern footway of Cross Street (between Market Street and New Market), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.16 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres extending for a distance of approximately 0.80 metres northwards from a point approximately 2 metres from the northern building line of New Market and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Cross Street, and shown as A on the plan. The area of highway situated in the eastern footway of Cross Street (between Market Street and New Market), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.16 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres extending for a distance of approximately 0.80 metres northwards from a point approximately 12 metres from the northern building line of New Market and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Cross Street, and shown as B on the plan. The area of highway situated in the eastern footway of Cross Street (between Market Street and New Market), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.16 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres extending for a distance of approximately 0.80 metres northwards from a point approximately 23 metres from the northern building line of New Market and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Cross Street, and shown as C on the plan. The area of highway situated in the eastern footway of Cross Street (between Market Street and New Market), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.12 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres extending for a distance of approximately 0.60 metres northwards from a point approximately 35 metres from the northern building line of New Market and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Cross Street, and shown as D on the plan. The area of highway situated in the eastern footway of Cross Street (between Market Street and New Market), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.04 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres extending for a distance of approximately 0.20 metres northwards from a point approximately 36.80 metres from the northern building line of New Market and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Cross Street, and shown as E on the plan. The area of highway situated in the eastern footway of Cross Street (between Market Street and New Market), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.18 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres extending for a distance of approximately 0.90 metres northwards from a point approximately 55.40 metres from the northern building line of New Market and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Cross Street, and shown as F on the plan. The area of highway situated in the eastern footway of Cross Street (between Market Street and New Market), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.36 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres extending for a distance of approximately 1.80 metres northwards from a point approximately 76.10 metres from the northern building line of New Market and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Cross Street, and shown as H on the plan. The area of highway situated in the southern footway of Market Street (between Cross Street and Pall Mall), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.18 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres, extending for a distance of approximately 0.90 metres eastwards from the eastern building line of Cross Street and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Market Street, and shown as J on the plan. The area of highway situated in the southern footway of Market Street (between Cross Street and Pall Mall), Manchester City Centre, comprising of approximate area of 0.12 square metres with an average width of approximately 0.20 metres, extending for a distance of approximately 0.60 metres eastwards from a point approximately 7.5 metres from the eastern building line of Cross Street and projecting a maximum distance of approximately 0.20 metres into the existing footway of Market Street, and shown as K on the plan. 23rd February 1999.
