Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that A. J. and I. E. Williams & Sons, of Llanwarne Court, Llanwarne, Herefordshire HR2 8JE, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from The Gomber Brook at National Grid Reference SO 4977 2827 at Llanwarne Court, Llanwarne.   The proposal is to abstract water at the the following rates: 16 cubic meters per hour; 379 cubic metres per day; 45,455 cubic metres between November and March each year.   The water will be used for winter storage and subsequent spray irrigation purposes.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Llanwarne Court, between 12th November 1998 and 10th December 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representation about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Hadnock Road, Monmouth NP5 3NQ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
