Notice of Proposal to make a Traffic Management Order
The London Borough of Southwark (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (Amendment No.  ) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark proposes to make the above-mentioned Order.   The proposed Order would be made under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order would be to add to the Southwark (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) Order 1998 by designating disabled persons parking places in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice in which the vehicles displaying an Orange Badge as authorised by the Order may be left in any period during the permitted hours without charge.   A copy of the proposed Order, of the Southwark (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) Order 1998, of plans, and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at Southwark Regeneration and Environment Department, Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES.   Further information and a copy of the proposed Order may be obtained from Chas Wood, Southwark Regeneration and Environment Department, Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, telephone 0171-525 5479.   Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director of Regeneration and Environment, Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, quoting Ref.
